About the event
We are excited to announce a private, discounted Kintsugi workshop for JSB members, hosted by Crane & Turtle and GrayMist Studio. In this workshop you will learn how to turn your broken pottery into art with an easy and food-safe method!
Kintsugi is the traditional Japanese art for mending broken pottery with Urushi lacquer and gold powder. With this technique, we can not only repair broken vessels, but also add more historical and aesthetic value. Breakage, in this view, becomes something to highlight and honor rather than to hide.
