The Rad Smith Program in Japanese Art:

Cutie and the Boxer

The forty-year love-story between artists Ushio and Noriko Shinohara charmed audiences in the 2013 documentary Cutie and the Boxer. Now, hear this exhilarating portrait of art and companionship as scholar and curator Reiko Tomii illustrates the very real stories of the Shinoharas' uplifting and sometimes tragic lives as artists in New York City.
